Mike Tyson, 57, ‘Doing Great’ After Suffering Medical Emergency During Flight

Famed boxer Mike Tyson is reportedly “doing great” after suffering a medical scare during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Tyson, 57, was on board an American Airlines flight on Sunday when, according to his representatives, “he became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing.”

Before departure, the flight was delayed by two hours due to the heat in Miami. Eyewitnesses say the flight asked if any medical professionals were on board when the incident occurred. The message was even displayed on the planes’ screens. After landing, paramedics boarded the flight to assist Tyson.

The flight attendant asked passengers to remain seated while paramedics treated an “important passenger.”

Tyson’s representatives say his medical condition did not affect the flight’s initial delay but rather because of an air conditioning issue. Passengers could not leave the plane for 25 minutes after landing as Tyson was treated for the problem.

“Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great,” Tyson’s representatives said in a statement. “He is appreciative to the medical staff that was there to help him.”

Tyson will face off against YouTuber Jake Paul in the ring on July 20 in Arlington, Texas. Tyson expressed his excitement in a statement. “I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” Tyson said. “It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch.” The fight has been officially sanctioned as professional

In April 2022, Tyson punched a passenger on a JetBlue Flight. Tyson claimed the man, identified as Melvin Townsend III, harassed him during the flight.
