Sixteen-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg was recently named as Time magazine’s Person of the Year. She has inspired protestors all over the world to push for action in combating the climate crisis.
President Donald Trump, 73, decided to mock Thunberg this weekend, saying that she needed to “chill” and “see a good old-fashioned movie.”
Michelle Obama responded to Trump’s mockery with words of encouragement for Thunberg. Although she never mentions Trump by name, Michelle tweeted to not “let anyone dim [her] light.” Michelle also told Thunberg to ignore her doubters and to know that millions of people are cheering for her.
