While Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed his excitement amid the drama surrounding what he expects to be his arrest in New York, through his alarming social media posts and reports alleging that he is looking forward to being handcuffed, other members of his family are not so enthusiastic about it.

Melania Trump has been avoiding the public eye and is continuing her life at their residence in Palm Beach, in an attempt to shield herself and their 17-year-old son, Barron, from the ongoing investigations into Trump’s alleged hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Melania is reportedly comfortable at Mar-a-Lago and surrounded by family.

Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, and her husband, Jared Kushner, have been keeping away from the ongoing dramas and have been focusing on building their life in Miami.

“They want nothing to do with this,” a source told Page Six. “They are staying away and don’t want to be hounded by reporters. I don’t think you will see them defending him, it will be no comment.”

The pair started their distancing after Ivanka, who alongside her husband was a senior adviser during Trump’s presidency, announced last November that she would not be campaigning for her father during his 2024 presidential campaign.

Despite their efforts to get away from Trump’s media and legal battles, both Ivanka and Kushner were subpoenaed in February by special counsel, Jack Smith, who is investigating Trump’s involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. The couple will need to testify before a federal grand jury about the Trump Administration’s response to the Capitol insurrection.
