Meghan Markle Acknowledges Mistakes On Her ‘As Ever’ Product Line: ‘It’s A Learning Curve’

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has been making rounds with a new product line based on her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan that features cookies, jams, and more.

Markle, 43, shared about rediscovering herself after facing the challenges of building a business while balancing love, family and new beginnings. One of those new beginnings is the recent premiere of her television show and products from her latest venture, As Ever.

The products will be available for sale later this spring. In partnership with Netflix, the assortment will include herbal teas, crepe mix, flow sprinkles, shortbread cookies, limited-edition wildflower honey and her signature raspberry jam in keepsake packaging.

“There were tons of twists and turns, even with the name. I was figuring it out in real-time,” Markle told People. “I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure them out and forgive myself for that. It’s a learning curve.”

The Duchess cooks, hosts and decorates in her televised program, but, this isn’t a traditional format. “It feels as though we’re just spending time together, which is what ended up being,” Markle said of the series premise. “I’d make a recipe and say, ‘Everyone try this,’ and there are certain dishes where you watch everyone flock in. I’d say, ‘We’ve run out of spoons!’ It felt so communal, and that’s the show’s spirit.”

Michael Steed, the show’s director, added, “Everyone has this one version of her, but she’s just someone who is hustling and working and doing. I genuinely wanted to create an environment where she could relax, and I know the pressure of what she deals with daily. I was happy we created scenes where she could tap into that part of her life.”

Meghan doesn’t consider herself a traditional housewife; instead, she encourages striving for balance rather than perfection. “I like being able to do a hybrid. Chinese good delivery is a favorite. But even when I get cookout, I will try to palate it beautifully.”
