After he wraps filming on The Dark Tower, McConaughey will be heading to his alma mater – The University of Texas – to co-teach a filmmaking class with director Gary Ross. Up to 30 students will be able to enroll in the class, which will only be open to juniors and seniors. Per a press release, McConaughey will take students “behind the scenes” of his next feature, Free State of Jones.
While McConaughey only plans to make one on-campus visit, he’ll be beamed into the classroom via video feed.
Free State of Jones is currently in select theaters, while The Dark Tower has a Feb. 17, 2017 release date.
