Mary Lynn Rajskub is reprising her role as Chloe O’Brian in Fox’s reboot of hit series 2424: Live Another Day.

Rajskub’s character, O’Brien, worked as a CTU systems analyst that always seemed to save the day when Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) got himself into trouble. The actress is more than happy to be returning to the role. “I am thrilled to be working with Howard [Gordon] and the writers again — and, of course, Kiefer,” Rajskub said in a statement. “There’s a lot more room to grow in my character… I’m going to start sharpening my computer skills right now.” Rajskub also shared the news with her Twitter fans.

Rajskub had joined the cast of the original 24 in the third season, and wound up appearing in more episodes than any other actor aside from series star Sutherland. Since 24 wrapped in 2010, Rajskub has had a number of guest roles on TV shows, including Modern Family, Raising Hope, Grey’s Anatomy and New Girl. She was also a series regular on the short-lived CBS comedy sitcom How to Be a Gentleman with David Horsby and Kevin Dillon.

The 24 reboot will pick up several years after the events that took place in the series’ eighth and final season finale. Like the original, the reboot will be told in real time. In addition to Gordon, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Robert Cochran, Brian Grazer, Jon Cassar and Sutherland will serve as the show's executive producers.

24: Live Another Day, which will take the form of a miniseries, is expected to premiere sometime in the spring of 2014.
