Mark Salling’s autopsy report revealed that he had alcohol in his system at the time of his death.

Salling rose to fame as one of the stars of the show Glee as Noah Puckerman. However became the center of controversy when he was convicted for the possession of over 25,000 images of child pornography, which he pleaded guilty to. He committed suicide back in January while waiting for his sentencing. He was 35 years old when he died.

His autopsy was recently released and revealed that he had a blood alcohol level of 0.095 when he died of asphyxia by hanging. However, there were no drugs found in his system.

The coroner also reported that there were cuts on his wrists from a prior suicide attempt. “His wrist incisions were about 2.5 centimeters and 6.5 centimeters on each hand,” they stated. Salling suffered from severe depression following his conviction.

The autopsy also included a detailed and chilling timeline of events that led up to his suicide. That night he was known “to be alive watching television with his father, in the living room,” the report states. However later that night, “the decedent’s mother woke up and noticed the decedent and his vehicle were gone.” This became alarming to his parents as Salling was put on house arrest for his charges. When trying to find him, his roommate found his “tracking device [on his ankle] down the street from the residence.”

His family reported him missing that night before his body was found at riverbed in the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood of Los Angeles early the next morning.

Salling was just a little over a month away from his sentencing, he was expected to serve four to seven years in prison. The case was dropped following his death.
