Mariah Carey committed a Twitter foul on Saturday, June 14, when she tweeted out a collage of photos and appeared to be trying to pass a photo of herself from 1997 as one from 2014.

Mariah Carey Tweets Selfie From 1997

Carey tweeted a series of four photos on Saturday with the caption, “quality time with #dembabies.” Her 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe are the stars of three of the four photos, which appear to be recent. The fourth photo, however features only Carey.

After some scrutiny, fans realized that the photo was not, in fact, taken while the pop star was spending quality time with her children, but must have been taken sometime before 1998 as it appeared in a 1997 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Buzzfeed reached out to Carey for comment, but the singer has not spoken on the matter. Instead, Carey spent the rest of her weekend celebrating Father’s Day with her husband Nick Cannon and their twins. Carey and Cannon both shared photos of their family of four celebrating the holiday to Instagram, and Carey even appears to be going makeup-free in the shot.
