Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie has signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros., the studio behind the summer superhero blockbuster Suicide Squad.
Robbie stole the show in David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad and has since signed on to star and co-produce a spin-off for her character Harley Quinn with Warner Bros. With the first-look deal, Warner Bros. now has the rights to get on board with Robbie to develop and produce all of her other films through her LuckyChap Entertainment Banner, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
Also at LuckyChap are Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.
In the works at LuckyChap at the moment is the production company’s debut film, the neo-noir thriller Terminal. LuckyChap is also working on the Tonya Harding biopic, I,Tonya, a passion project for Robbie, in which she is playing the titular figure skater.
In addition to the Suicide Squad spinoff, Margot is already executive producing an adaptation of Dean N. Jensen‘s Queen of the Air for Warner Bros. Robbie is slated to star in the movie, a true life period drama that is set in the circus world.
Robbie is currently filming animated movie Larrikins with fellow Australian actors Rose Byrne, Naomi Watts and Hugh Jackman. She’s expected to soon be on set of the untitled A.A. Milne project about the creation of Winnie the Pooh.
