Hank Johnson was arrested on Saturday after he attempted to enter Taylor Swift’s New York City apartment after he believed that he was communicating with the singer on social media.

“She knows that I’m coming here, we’re friends,” Johnson told authorities, according to a criminal complaint against him

The 52-year-old man was arrested by NYPD at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night after someone called in to report him trespassing in Swift’s Tribeca apartment building. At a Sunday night arraignment, Johnson was charged with criminal trespass and was released on his own recognizance.

Johnson made an effort to show off his alleged messages with the Grammy winner outside the courthouse. He also showed restraining orders against him from Swift’s friends Bella and Gigi Hadid.

Swift did not appear to be home at the time.

In 2018, the singer’s apartment was broken into by another man who apparently took a nap inside her home.

As this incident occurred, Swift’s latest re-recorded album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), reached No 1. on the charts, 12 years after the album’s original release.
