Madonna’s Older Brother Anthony Ciccone Dies At 66 After Troubled Life Of Homelessness & Alcoholism
Madonna‘s older brother, Anthony Ciccone, has died at the age of 66.
He reportedly struggled with alcoholism and was homeless for many years, living on the streets and at a rehabilitation facility.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
His brother-in-law Joe Henry, who is married to Madonna’s sister, Melanie Ciccone, announced the news on Saturday via Instagram.

Henry described Anthony as a “complex character” and said that even though they “tangled in moments, as true brothers can,” he still loved him.
Madonna and her family had a complex relationship with Anthony. He had become estranged from them and previously accused them of not caring for him.
The pop star still supported him whenever possible, including recently visiting him in his rehab facility.
Anthony grew up with Madonna and his other siblings in Detroit, Michigan. Their mother died from breast cancer when they were both young.
Henry wrote in his Instagram post: “I want to think the god your blessed mother (and mine) believed in has her there, waiting to receive you. At least for today, no one shall dissuade me from this vision.”
Madonna liked the post but did not comment.
