Lizzo beat out ABBA, Adele, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Brandi Carlile, Mary J. Blige and Steve Lacy, and took home the Record of the Year award for her single “About Damn Time.”
On the red carpet, Lizzo wore an orange-red silk opera coat embellished with orange silk roses designed by Dolce & Gabbana. Underneath, she wore a bright orange dress with a corset-style top that had white boning to accentuate the star’s luscious curves.

In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Lizzo shouted out artist legends like Prince and Beyoncé as people who inspired her and are, “the artists of our lives.”
Lizzo’s other nominations for the night included Album of the Year, Song of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album: all of which were for her album Special and the song “About Damn Time.”
Previously, Lizzo received three Grammys in 2020 for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
