Lizzo Hits Back Against Claims She Used Ozempic To Lose Weight

Lizzo shot back at an Instagram user who asked if she had been taking the medication Ozempic to lose weight.

“‘oZeMpIc oR cOkE?’ – a fan,” Lizzo wrote in the caption of an Instagram carousel posted on Friday.

The rapper responded to this query in a video posted on the carousel.

“When you finally get Ozempic allegations after five months of weight training and calorie deficit,” she wrote in the video in which she put her head on her hand and sighed.

She then lip-synced to the TikTok audio of Christoph Waltz‘s character in Django Unchained, saying, “It’s like a reward.”

The singer also posted a screenshot in the carousel, showing a follower known as @dufflebag_du commenting on one of her posts.

“Did she use Ozempic, or did she snort coke,” the follower wrote. 

“Whyyyy do u follow me,” Lizzo asked in response to this comment.

The singer has been in the news frequently in recent months.

In August 2023, Lizzo was sued by three of her former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, on multiple counts, such as sexual harassment and creating hostile working conditions. 

The lawsuit names Lizzo, dance captain Shirlene Quigley and the singer’s production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring. 

This suit made more accusations of racial harassment, false imprisonment, religious harassment and interference with economic advantages. 

On March 29, Lizzo posted a paragraph to her Instagram story in which she expressed her frustration with the public mocking her and said that she was calling it quits.
