Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his role in Titanic where he played Jack Dawson, who dies of hypothermia once the infamous ship sinks, helped save a Frenchman who had fallen off of a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean. The man tread water for 11 hours he was rescued.

DiCaprio was vacationing in the Caribbean on a luxury vessel with girlfriend Camila Morrone and friends when the captain of the boat received a mayday call that the 24 year old French crewman had fallen off a Club Med yacht near St Martin. The man reportedly fell off the yacht after having too much to drink.

DiCaprio agreed that the group should divert the boat’s original trajectory to help look for the fallen Frenchman. The group searched for hours in rough water until they found the man in the middle of the ocean, pulling him to safety.
