Lena Headey, Game of Thrones actress, reportedly claimed that she's broke during divorce proceedings with husband Peter Loughran, reported TMZ.

In an emergency filing, Loughran, an Irish musician, asked for half of the couple’s $46,000 tax refund from 2011. This then prompted Headey to request $6,000 in advance to cover living expences, claiming she has “less that $5” in her bank account. If she was awarded the $6,000, she was willing to release $6,000 to Loughran as well, and have the rest put in a blocked bank account until it could be decided how they'd split the rest of the return.

Headey argued that she’s been providing for herself and her 2-year-old son Wylie Elliot with credit, and that she is barely scraping by. Headey is also fighting for custody of her son with Loughran.

Despite Headey’s pleas, the judge was unmoved to accept Headey’s proposal, or to grant Loughran half of the tax refund. As of now, there's no telling how the money will eventually be divided between the former couple.

The actress’ financial woes come as a shock as she’s currently starring in one of the most-watched shows on television, on a premium cable channel or otherwise. Although, she did state that she would soon be compensated for her acting work, and that the $6,000 request is just to make ends meet until that day comes.

The second episode of Game of Thrones season 3 will air on HBO on Sunday at 9/8c.
