While performing at Rolling Loud Germany in Munich, Latto threatened to beat a fan after they threw an object at her.
In a video taken by another fan, Latto can be seen yelling at the assailant, “Want your ass beat? Throw it again,” while impressively keeping in tempo with her song. It is unclear what was thrown, but Latto made it clear that this behavior is unacceptable.
This is not the first time singers have had to tell their fans to stop this behavior and that it is inappropriate amidst a new trend of attacking artists while they are performing.
Adele spoke about the incidents during her show in Las Vegas and warned her fans not to do the same to her. “Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f—ing show etiquette at the moment, people are throwing s— on stage? I f—ing dare you – I dare you to throw something at me. I’ll f—ing kill you.”
Adele was fortunate enough to not have been struck by any objects, but other artists have not been as lucky. Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a phone and required three stitches at the hospital. At her next show, she took precautions by wearing blue sunglasses that covered her eyes. She updated fans in a tweet a few weeks later.
