The performance lineup for the 2017 Grammy Awards just got a lot more metal. Hot on the heels of her wildly popular Super Bowl LI halftime performance, Lady Gaga announced she will mash up with the heavy metal band Metallica at the upcoming Grammy Awards. Their joint performance will air on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Gaga Duet With Metallica At Grammys

The electrifying news was leaked Monday night when Little Monsters spotted a Grammy ad announcing the unexpected pairing. The Recording Academy confirmed the partnership on Tuesday.

This won’t be the first time Gaga and Metallica have paired up with other performers at the Grammys. In 2010, Gaga had a memorable duet with friend Elton John, in which they took the stage for a “Poker Face” – “Speechless” – “Your Song” mash-up. Meanwhile, Metallica had teamed up with Chinese pianist lang Lang for their hit classic, “One.”
