Lady Gaga, 26, wants to make it clear that, for the most part, she was born this way, but unwelcome social pressures may have had something to do with it, too — at least, that's what Gaga revealed on her social media website, LittleMonsters.com, when she posted a series of photos of the new, curvier, underwear-clad body that has been bringing her such unrelenting media attention, before leading the charge with her fans to help launch a "Body Revolution 2013" that will "inspire bravery" and "BREED some m$therf*cking COMPASSION."

Lady Gaga also revealed her history with eating disorders on the site. "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15," she wrote beside the first of the four pics. Gaga posted a letter to explain herself in more depth and shed light on the foundation she created with her mother, the Born This Way Foundation, which strives to stop bullying and encourage young people to accept themselves as they are. "Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us," she challenged. "May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous."

When people started bombarding the site with their own pictures and personal stories of body image struggle, Gaga continued to validate their courageous moves. "Now that the body revolution has begun, be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities," she wrote.

"I have been startled and overwhelmed with pride and emotion the past few days. Gratitude mostly. Seeing you post photos of things on your bodies and in your minds that you feel society tells you you should be ashamed of. You are showing them you have no shame," Gaga wrote.

"My weight/loss/gain since i was child has tormented me," she continued. "No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But YOU have. My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when i eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier then I've ever been. i am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And i love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well."
