Pop star Lady Gaga and former Vice President Joe Biden appeared together in a public service announcement to discuss sexual assault.

Lady Gaga, 31, posted the minute-long video to her Twitter account Wednesday. The video began with Biden referring to Lady Gaga as “a great friend and fierce advocate” and calling the musician a “voice” for the victims of sexual abuse. Biden called on everyone to speak out if they see sexual assault occur.

“And we want to make it real clear. It’s on us, it’s on everyone to intervene — to stop abuse when they see it and when they hear about it, to intervene. No man has a right to raise a hand to a woman for any reason other than self-defense,” Biden said.

Lady Gaga followed, speaking briefly of her own experience with sexual assault and its aftermath.

“But we’re here to remind you that it’s important to reach out to someone in your life that you can trust and to know that they will be there to help you; there will be someone to listen. Because you know what? It’s on us,” the musician said.

According to The Hill, the public service announcement was part of the “It’s On Us” campaign, an initiative launched in 2014 by Biden and former President Barack Obama to end sexual assault on college campuses.

This isn’t the first time that Biden and Lady Gaga came together to fight against sexual assault. The former Vice President introduced Lady Gaga’s performance of “Til it Happens to You” at the 88th Academy Awards. The song was featured in the 2015 documentary “The Hunting Ground,” which focused on the prolific sexual assault cases that occur on college campuses.
