Kodak Black was shot in the leg on Friday night leading up to Super Bowl Weekend. Black had reportedly just attended a Justin Bieber concert and the altercation occurred on the street outside the location of the afterparty, a bar called The Nice Guy.

In a video obtained by reporters, Black is seen posing for pictures on the sidewalk with a group of friends, allegedly joined by rappers Gunna and Lil Baby. The video then cuts to a fight where Black can be seen pursuing someone and hitting them while standing over him before several gunshots ring out. Video then cuts to later on when police have arrived on the scene and show graphic images of someone, not Black, wounded on the street.

Sources confirm that Black and three others were shot nonfatally during the incident. A source close to Kodak Black says a member of his entourage was attacked by an unknown assailant, and Black only stepped in to defend his friend and was then shot.

The rapper was brought to the hospital and reported to be in stable condition as of Friday night and did not comment publicly on the attack. His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, took the time to write an Instagram post for him, saying that the attack was “unprovoked” and that Black will make a “full recovery.”
