Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Are Expecting A Baby Girl Via Surrogate

Power couple Kim Kardashian, 36, and Kanye West, 40, have announced that they are expecting a baby girl via surrogate.

Multiple sources are reporting on the news, though no official word has been publicly announced from the celebrities themselves. It appears that Kardashian turned to surrogacy after having two high-risk pregnancies with daughter North West, 4, and song Saint West, 21 months. The sources also relay that the surrogate mother is expected to give birth in January 2018.

The mother-of-three to be did recently say that she and her rapper husband were “definitely trying” for a third child. “We are hoping so,” she added. Hopefully baby number three will help the current sibling rivalry going on in the West household. “I don’t know if it’s because [North] is the older sister, I don’t know what it is. I thought it was a phase. She does not like her brother and it’s so hard for me,” Kardashian described. “She gets so jealous when I would breastfeed and all that kind of stuff,” she continued. “And now, the phase isn’t going away. Her thing is she thinks she’s outsmarting me. She’s like, ‘We’re having a tea party, mom. No boys allowed. Dad can’t come too then. And she’ll just slam the door on her brother’s face. He’ll just start crying.”

“The entire family is over the moon. Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months until recently when she found the perfect candidate,” a source tells People. “Given her health scares in the past, Kim felt the need to hire a surrogacy agency that helped serve as the liaison in finding a healthy woman who would be a great surrogate option for her and Kanye. Both of them have been super involved in the process. They want everything to be perfect and for the baby to be extremely healthy. They don’t want any complications and Kim is providing an ideal eating regimen and diet so everyone knows what the baby is consuming before it’s born.”
