Kim Cattrall will return to And Just Like That as her iconic Sex And The City character, Samatha Jones, for one episode of season two.
The news about Cattrall joining the show was announced through the And Just Like That Twitter account stating, “Secret’s out!! 👀💕”
In her scene in season two, Cattrall will not be communicating directly with any of the characters. It was already filmed in New York City on March 22 and the episode will air later in the summer, sometime in August. The scene is a short one and features Jones on the phone with Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie Bradshaw. It is unknown what is said between the two, but fans are hoping for a reconciliation between the characters.
Cattrall previously had said that she would not be taking part in the reboot of the show. When approached by the producers to create a third Sex and the City movie she turned them down. Due to this, producers didn’t ask Cattrall if she would act in the reboot, believing that she wasn’t interested. Cattrall found out about the reboot through social media when it was publicly announced.

It has been rumored that there is tension between Cattrall and the other stars of the show, specifically Parker. When Cattrall went to film her scene, she did not meet up with any of the other members of the show, including Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Parker.
Cattrall’s character has been mentioned in season one of the show. Jones moves to London after getting into a fight with Bradshaw. Bradshaw explains how the two fell out of touch, but later in the show Bradshaw and Jones start texting. The two seem to have a reconciliation when they agree to meet up in Paris at the season finale.
