Kevin Hart is wheelchair-bound after sustaining injuries in a race on Thursday.

In the video, Hart told a story of how he and his friend, former New England Patriots star Stevan Ridley, 34, were debating who was faster. Hart and Ridley agreed to a bet with a 40-yard dash to determine the winner. While attempting the sprint, Hart tore his abductors.

Now, Hart cannot walk for six to eight weeks and is currently in a wheelchair.

Hart told his 178 million Instagram followers that people 40 and over should respect that age because, according to Hart, it’s harder to do “young people things.”

Many celebrities weighed in the comments on Hart’s post.

“Tore my adductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You’ll be fine. You’ll grow a 3rd ball but you’ll be fine,” Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson said.

“Welp if it will make you feel better at 66 I don’t even have abs or adductors, just use your stomach,” Steve Harvey responded jokingly.

This isn’t the first time the actor and comedian has suffered injuries. In 2019, Hart was involved in a car crash in Calabasas and suffered significant back injuries.

Hart has a notable number of projects currently in the works. His Roku comedy series, Die Hard, was renewed for a third season. Hart recently finished work on an action-comedy movie, Lift, directed by F. Gary Gray, which is set to premiere on Netflix in January 2024. He will also star in a movie adaptation of the video game Borderlands, which is being directed by Eli Roth and stars Cate Blanchett.
