Kesha And Macklemore Announce 2018 North American Summer Tour Dates

Macklemore and Kesha are teaming up for a big North American tour in 2018, but it won’t begin until the summer.

The artists announced the tour in a comedic short video where Macklemore, 34, decides to retire from rapping to become a roller-blading coach. Kesha, 30, then shows up and convinces him to not retire early.

The duo recently released a song called “Good Old Days,” which is featured on Macklemore’s new album Gemini, released in September. The record marks the rapper’s first solo studio album since 2005, and the first one he’s made since 2016’s This Unruly Mess I’ve Made.

Kesha and Macklemore’s 30-city tour starts in Phoenix, Arizona on June 6 and ends in Tampa, Florida on August 5.

Kesha released her third album, Rainbow, in August. Her first record since Warrior (2012), Rainbow features the hit Grammy-nominated song “Praying,” a slow, soul-infused song that marks a stark departure from the techno/dance pop artist’s previous hits.

Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase at Tunespeak on December 13.

Kesha plans to donate $1 from each ticket sold to RAINN (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network), while Macklemore says he’ll donate to M Plus1, an organization focused on racial and social justice, Live Nation said in a statement.

Ticket sales begin Friday at 12 p.m. local time via Live Nation, but Citi cardmembers will have access to a presale starting Wednesday at 12 p.m. until Thursday at 10 p.m. through Citi’s Private Pass program.
