The Morning After podcast host, Kelly Stafford, wife Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, opened up about her breast implants regret.

“I saved up a ton of money. I worked in high school, from birthdays, I just saved it all. I dressed so terribly, I wasn’t buying clothes, that wasn’t my thing. Again, still not really my thing,” she explained on the podcast. “I went and got a boob job. And Matthew was totally against this. He was like, ‘Do not do it, please don’t do it.’ And I was like, ‘Love you, but I’ve wanted this for a long time, and this is about me, it’s not about you.'”

Stafford ultimately did have the surgery, but it didn’t go as she had hoped.

“Y’all, it was the worst boob job you have ever (seen),” she said. “It was two balloons on my chest. It was so, so bad.”

At the time, Matthew who is now married to the podcast host, played for the Detroit Lions.

“What’s worse is that the Detroit media realized and started saying that Matthew paid for a boob job for his girlfriend,” Stafford said. “And immediately, I was like, ‘Hold on now! I paid for it myself!'”

Stafford then said that she went back to the doctor to express her dissatisfaction with the surgery but was told to wait for them to “settle.” When she still wasn’t happy a year later, she asked the doctor to “drain” them.

“It was when they were doing saline because silicone was dangerous,” she explained.

Though the quarterback didn’t support his wife’s breast augmentation back then, he was by her side during difficult times. In 2019, the podcast host had surgery to remove an acoustic neuroma from her cranial nerves.

“I wouldn’t be here today, without him. He was the one that really encouraged me to go get checked and fought with me through that entire battle,” she told Good Morning America.

Matthew recent agreed to pay the hospital cost of a photographer who fell in front of at the Super Bowl parade after he was criticized for not offering to help.
