Kelly Clarkson Marries Brandon Blackstock In Private Ceremony

Kelly Clarkson announced on Monday that she’d married boyfriend Brandon Blackstock over the weekend in an intimate ceremony in Tennessee.

Clarkson took to Twitter to share her nuptial news, writing, “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock 🙂 We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!” The newlywed was more than happy to show a few beautiful pictures from their fall wedding as well.

The “Stronger” singer shared a solo shot of herself holding a harvest bouquet of flowers, standing on a wooden bridge in a pastoral setting. In her caption, she thanked the London dress designer Temperley and Jim Verraros and Maria Elena, who designed her headpiece.

Back in July, Clarkson had posted a series of engagement photos on Twitter, gushing about her Oct. 20 nuptials and the release of her single “Tie It Up.” The following month, however, Clarkson announced that she and Blackstock had canceled their big wedding plans and were going to elope instead. “Our lives are so in the spotlight all the time," Clarkson explained. "Everything is such a spectacle, we were like, ‘We would rather have an intimate moment that’s special.’”

Clarkson and Blackstock broke the news to their would-be guests via a note that informed them they were downsizing their wedding to just Blackstock’s two kids from his previous marriage and the officiating minister at an undisclosed date.

In the end, the couple tied the knot on their original wedding date at the Walland, Tennessee venue. Blackstock – the son of Clarkson’s manager Narvel Blackstock and stepson to Reba McEntire – proposed to the pop singer in December 2012.
