Katy Perry 'Smurfs' It Up For Movie Premiere
Katy Perry has never shied away from a thematic look, even if judges on Project Runway would call it "costume-y." At the world premiere of her movie, The Smurfs 3D, Perry, 26, walked down the red carpet like a true Smurfette. Sporting a newly blonde hairdo, Perry wore a tiny white dress emblazoned with a female Smurf decal, blue high-heel pumps and icy blue shadow on her eyes. Perry even had mini-Smurfs bejeweled on her fingernails!
On her way to the premiere in New York City, Perry kept her fans in the loop by posting to her Twitter. "Headed to SMURF VILLAGE for the premiere of The Smurfs!!!" she tweeted Sunday. "I'm SMURFETTE!!! I'm blue… aba de aba die aba de aba di aba de aba di! YAY!" A couple of hours later, she snapped a picture of her fingernails and posted it to Twitter with the caption, "Smurf nails! Duh!"
It was recently announced that Perry earned the most MTV Video Music Award nominations this year — a total of nine for videos such as "Firework," "E.T.," "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" and "Teenage Dream." British soul singer Adele came in second place with seven nominations.
