Katy Perry stripped down for a video for Funny or Die’s Everyone Votes campaign – and Madonna got naked to show her support for the cause.
In the Funny or Die video called “Katy Perry Votes Naked,” Perry insists that it must be acceptable to head to the polling station in the buff.
“Yup, I’ve briefly scanned the constitution,” she tells the camera. “And nowhere does it say you can’t just roll out of bed and come to the polls in whatever state you woke up in.”
Unfortunately for Perry – and Joel McHale – voting naked is a no go, and both end up in the back of a police car. However, as the video points out, donning a child’s onesie, being covered in slime, rocking only an XL bank promo t-shirt or a dressing gown reminiscent of Ebenezer Scrooge are all okay.
After the Funny or Die video dropped, pop icon Madonna came through with a nude Twitter picture to show her support for getting out the vote – particularly for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
“Im voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary,” Madonna captioned her nearly NSFW photo. “She’s the Best we got!??????. Nude Voting series # 1.”
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
