YouTube is the home of numerous conspiracy theories and one of the more odd ones claims that Katy Perry is really the late murdered beauty queen, JonBenet Ramsey.
“All of these people are liars, man,” David Johnson, the uploader, said as images of Perry and Ramsey play. “Nobody died, nobody got hurt. That sacrifice was in name only, and that was to get something, and that something was to become a star. JonBenet became Katy Perry, and that’s a fact.”
Six-year-old Ramsey was murdered and found dead in her Boulder, Colo., home in 1996. Her murder is still unsolved though her late parents have long been suspects.
The uploaded videos make different connections between the two, including their similar eyebrows. Another connection was cited as evidence is that the pop singer once mentioned Ramsey during an interview.
“Wherever I went, restaurants or whatever, I would get up and sing ‘Amazing Grace,'” Perry told The Mail. “Not that I was one of those stage kids. There was no JonBenet Ramsey inside of me waiting to burst out. I just started…. writing little songs about God or this boy I liked, the two men in my life at the same time.”
The uploader also claims that Donald Trump is Joe Biden, Jimmy Hendrix is Lionel Ritchie, and Prince Charles is Sir Richard Branson.
Perry was born six years before Ramsey. After her body was found, an autopsy was done shortly after proving it was the young beauty queen.
