Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have had a feud for months, since Swift accused Perry of stealing her backup dancers for a tour.

KATY PERRY READY TO MAKE AMENDS WITH TAYLOR SWIFT

“I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she’s a fantastic songwriter,” Perry said. “I am ready to let it go, forgive her, and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her.”

“Maybe I don’t agree with everything she does and she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but I just really, truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion,” the singer continued.

Perry explained her side of the story on The Late Late Show with James Corden two weeks ago. “This is what happened, it’s about backing dancers, it’s so crazy,” she said. “So there’s like three backing dancers who went on tour with her tour, and they asked me before they went on tour if they could go, and I said, ‘Yeah of course, I’m not on a record cycle, and get the work, and she’s great and all that, but I will be on in about a year. So be sure to have a 30-day contingency in your contract so you can get out if you want to join me when I say I’m going back on.’ So that year came up, and I texted all of them because I’m very close with them, and I said, ‘look just FYI, I’m about to start, I wanna put the word out there,’ and they said, ‘ok were gonna go talk to management about it,’ and they did and they got fired. And I tried to talk to her about it, and she wouldn’t speak to me.”

“And then she writes this song about me, and I’m like cool, cool, cool. Karma,” she continued. “But what I wanna say is that I’m ready for that BS to be done.”

“Can we take the beef off the grill?” Corden asked.

“I think that women, together, not divided, and none of this petty s–t, will heal the world,” Perry responded.
