Katie Maloney On ‘Vanderpump Rules,” & Lisa Vanderpump

According to Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney, the fourth season of the reality TV series has all the drama that longtime fans have come to expect – but that this time around they’ll be treated to a number of different storylines.

Katie Maloney On ‘Vanderpump Rules’

For Maloney, her big storyline this year is her engagement to Tom Schwartz.

“Everyone has their own little story that sort of unfolds. Scheana and Shay have hit some little rocky patches in their marriage, Tom and I get engaged – you’ll see that,” said Maloney, adding, “I can’t give the details, because the way it happened, I was very surprised, so I think if everyone else can be surprised along the way it’ll be more magical I guess.”

When the cameras aren’t following the Vanderpump Rules stars off in their personal lives, they’re filming them at work with boss Lisa Vanderpump. Maloney admits that – to no one’s surprise – working with Vanderpump isn’t a walk in the park, as she’s known to holding herself and those around her to a high standard. But, Maloney wishes that people knew the more relaxed Lisa Vanderpump that she’s come to know – the Lisa Vanderpump who belts out duets at parties.

“Her aura, her presence, that intimidation factor, maybe, is kinda like stripped down a little bit and you just see this mother and someone who likes to have fun,” said Maloney of Vanderpump’s off-camera persona. “Lisa’s an amazing singer too. I don’t know if people knew that, but she can really belt it out…. Like there was a party, it was when Ken and Lisa renewed their vows, and afterwards her and Pandora got on the piano and sang and stuff. That was really special.”

In addition to continuing to appear on Vanderpump Rules, Maloney has branched off to start her own beauty and lifestyle blog, Pucker and Pout. The idea behind the venture was to share the beauty and lifestyle secrets she’s picked up over the years. Among Maloney’s personal beauty secret items are Maxi pads and spoons.

“I put Maxi pads in my heels,” Maloney revealed to uInterview. “It just helps add a little cushion, maybe help absorb some moisture if you have sweaty feet.” And spoons? “Using a spoon to create a nice perfect cat eye. You use like the arm of the spoon to do the wing, and then you turn the spoon to get the little curve, and that will get the nice little scoop and it’s perfect every time.”
