‘Kate Plus 8’ Special: Kate Gosselin Celebrates 40th Birthday

Kate Gosselin celebrated her 40th birthday on the most recent Kate Plus 8 reunion special.

Kate Plus 8 aired a special episode to celebrate Gosselin’s big birthday, which saw the single mother of eight take her kids and best friend on a celebratory vacation to Mexico. The episode featured her almost grown-up kids, twins Cara and Mady, now 14, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aeden, Collin, Leah and Joel, 11, and shed some light on how Gosselin is feeling five years after her divorce from Jon Gosselin.

During their short vacation, Gosselin got to take some time off mom duty with one of her best friends when the two went out to dinner. Over the course of their meal, Gosselin opened up about how much she hates always being asked about her love life by the media.

“Don’t they realize after five years it offends me? It’s annoying and it’s a reminder that, here I am! It’s just me!” Gosselin told her friend.

Gosselin doesn’t regret her divorce at all, adding, “I’ve been divorced for five years… It’s been the greatest five years of my life.”

Gosselin also spent some quality family time with her children during the short vacation. The Gosselins enjoyed Mud Buggying and a cake bake-off between the girls and boys.

TLC will air another special episode of Kate Plus 8 on Tuesday June 30 at 10 p.m.
