Kanye West and Drake have had a vitriolic public feud, but West took to Twitter on Wednesday to post a series of tweets to apologize and wish his fellow musician well.

KANYE WEST TWEETS AN APOLOGY TO DRAKE

West began his apology by sending “good energy to Drake and family and crew.” He then complimented Drake’s newest performance, admitting he hasn’t seen it live but that the pictures he’s seen “look incredible.”

West’s attempt to make amends continued for eight more tweets, the second of which began with a formal apology for “stepping on [Drake’s] release date in the first place,” adding how they “were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with [Kid] Cudi at our office.”

Moreover, West regrettably acknowledged the “ghostwriter” references Pusha-T made in her “Infrared” track, which were rather overt attacks against Drake, writing, “There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you.” Notably, Drake had previously worked on a diss track about West, one that would have supposedly been “career-ending” for him.

A Twitter user by the name of Tyler Morrison shared his theory that Drake had an affair with West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, whom Morrison posits is the “Keke” spoken of Drake’s “In My Feelings” fame. It’s all a theory that Kardashian debunked, although, coincidence or otherwise, West’s public apology to Drake came about mere days later. West’s apology did, however, reference details that coincide with the theory, namely conversations between West and Pusha regarding Drake’s son.

Nevertheless, West closed his dialog by informing Drake that he plans to attend Drake’s show “to give love and be inspired by the art you have created.”
