Kaitlyn Bristowe Announces Social Media Break After Splitting From Jason Tartick

Kaitlyn Bristowe is taking a break from social media after she and her fiance Jason Tartick broke up. 

The former Bachelorette announced her pause on Monday on her Instagram stories telling her fans, “See you soon. Bye for now.” She asked, “If everyone can say some sort of prayer for both of our hearts we would love that.”

She added, “I just know social media can be awful so taking a little break.”

This came after she shared the news of her split from Tartick via an Instagram post. The joint statement read, “After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement. We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.” 

They added that the two dogs they share Pinot and Ramen “will continue to be cared for together as brothers.” They continued, “While their humans are no longer romantically involved, we will love and take care of them together.”

The former couple expressed that they still have respect for each other, even though they decided to end their engagement. “Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other,” they wrote. 

“It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die. We are beyond thankful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years. Moving forward we will always have that level of support for each other. We don’t know what the future holds so please try to hold space for us in your hearts.”

Tartick additionally posted his own statement on his Instagram stories writing, “Thank you for the support and love over the years. I will forever be grateful for this beautiful person that was brought into my life…beyond heartbroken. Please be kind as we go through our individual journeys to heal.”

Fans had already speculated that the two broke up months before they announced the split. People noticed that they were posting each other less on their respective social media accounts and that Bristowe was no longer wearing her engagement ring. 

Bristowe and Tartick first started dating in 2019 after Bristowe ended her engagement to Shawn Booth after the finale of The Bachelorette in 2015. The couple got engaged two years later in 2021 but never announced any wedding plans.
