The news came after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West pleaded for the president to talk to Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven on the phone Saturday to advocate for A$AP Rocky. Trump offered to vouch for his bail.
According to Lofven’s press secretary Toni Eriksson, Lofven told Trump that the “Swedish judicial system, prosecutors and courts are completely independent.”
A$AP Rocky has been detained since July 3, following a fight against two strangers who can be seen following the rapper and picking a fight with his security guard in multiple Instagram videos.
