Julian Lennon took to social media to show that he had an accidental run-in with none other than his father’s former bandmate Paul McCartney. He uploaded photos with the Beattle including a selfie and a shot of Paul promoting his new studio album Jude, which was released this past September.
Lennon called the interaction “amazing” and also said, “So, so lovely, and what are the chances…”

Lennon was likely en route to Dusseldorf, Germany, where he was a presenter who ended up giving Taylor Swift one of her many awards of the night, this one for her video All Too Well: The Short Film which won Best Music Video and Best Longform Video.
McCartney is no stranger to the MTV Europe Music Awards, being honored with the prestigious Ultimate Legend trophy back in 2008 for his time with The Beatles as well as his solo musical career with albums like Run Devil Run, McCartney & McCartney II and Chaos and Creation in the Backyard.
