Joseph Baena Channels His Famous Dad Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Icon Beach Pose

Joseph Baena posted a pair of photos to social media and announced that he was prepared for Hurricane Hilary. In both the color and black-and-white versions, the actor, bodybuilder and real estate agent stood on the Californian beach and posed while looking outward at the horizon.

“Ready for Hurricane Hilary,” said Baena.

Baena’s images came in the hours before the arrival of the Category 4 tropical storm. The unkind gales and ensuing rainfall were not to be trifled with. In several areas in California, Hurricane Hilary broke records for the wettest day in the state. Previously, that number had been held by post-hurricane Doreen all the way back in 1977.

Baena’s choice of pose seemed to channel a well-known bodybuilding stance. While wearing black, bodybuilder-like trunks, his right arm was lifted and pointed out towards the horizon, and the left arm curled to flex his biceps. It seems that weightlifting runs in the family as this familiar pose was also honed by his biological father, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Baena and Schwarzenegger reportedly have a good relationship as well.

The one and only Hollywood legend and former bodybuilder was only 19 years old when he was also using the pose in the 1960s to activate his physique. Schwarzenegger himself is considered, by many, to be one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. While representing his native Austria, he has won four total Mr. Universe medals and seven for Mr. Olympia. There are also a few powerlifting and weightlifting medals to his name, as well.

Of course, Baena has had his share of success as well after being on the cover of Men’s Health in March 2022. The connected article included an emphasis on how he keeps fit and bonding with his father. The 25-year-old also starred in a couple of 2022 films, Chariot and Bully High.
