Jonathan Majors, 33, has filed a complaint against his ex-girlfriend who accused him of assault in March this year.
Grace Jabbari, the ex-girlfriend, caused the Creed III actor’s arrest in New York City following her report that he had assaulted, strangled and harassed her.
She later rescinded the accusations against him and reportedly assured the actor in a text exchange, that nothing would happen to him, allegedly admitting then that she initiated the fight.
Three months after the dispute, Majors has now filed a complaint against Jabbari. He claims that he was the victim and his ex-girlfriend was the violent one while accusing him of talking to other women.
“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” defense attorney Priya Chaudhry wrote in a statement. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”
The evidence, the statement reports, consists of video footage of the vehicle where the event transpired, witness testimonies and two written statements from Jabbari.
“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever,” the statement continued.
Majors currently has a temporary restraining order against him and reportedly agreed to keep away from Jabbari during a visit to a Manhattan court on Tuesday. A trial date has been set for August 3.
