Last night former Daily Show host Jon Stewart popped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to bring attention to a bill designed to aid 9/11 first responders that expired in October and may not be renewed by congress.

Jon Stewart “Trumps It Up” On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

When Colbert quipped that no one would pay any heed to Stewart’s impassioned defense of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act unless he “Trumped it up a little,” Stewart gamely took the advice on board.

Stewart dons a ridiculous Trump-like quiff and Colbert uses Cheetos dust to brighten his cheeks to match the Donald’s famously reddened complexion. Stewart goes the whole hog and captures Trump’s grandstanding gestures and brash delivery perfectly.

The Zadroga Act guarantees the cover of health expenses for 9/11 first responders who’ve developed health problems as result of their service.

“These 9/11 first responders, let me tell you something, these 9/11 first responders are the most top-notch, first-class, diamond-encrusted heroes America can produce,” Stewart said. “I will build a wall around politics and I will make politics pay for it.”

Stewart urged viewers to use the hashtag #WorstResponders to help convince congress to add the act to an upcoming omnibus bill.
