Sons of Anarchy actor Johnny Lewis, 28, who played Kip "Half-Sack" Epps on the show for two seasons, has turned up dead in what appears to be a mysterious and bizarre string of events worthy of a storyline on the FX Sons of Anarchy series itself.

Lewis, who has also had roles in television programs Boston Public, The O.C. and Criminal Minds, as well as films The Runaways with Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Alia Shawkat, and Raise Your Voice with Hilary Duff and Oliver James, was found dead in a Los Angeles driveway on Lowry Road Wednesday morning, reports the L.A. Times, outside a house in which elderly resident Catherine Davis, 81, was also discovered dead, the apparent victim of homicide.

Lewis appears to have been a boarder in Davis' house, at which there was some kind of dispute before Lewis is suspected to have fallen from the roof to his death.

"The best we're piecing together now is that it appears that some type of altercation occurred inside of the house resulting in the death of the woman," LAPD Commander Andrew Smith told ABC News affiliate KABC. "Then this individual ran outside, had an altercation with a couple of neighbors, ran back into the house and by the time we got here, he had fallen or had somehow died on the driveway," said Smith. The two men who scuffled with Lewis suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene, reports the Times.

Calls were also made about screams that were coming from inside the house on Wednesday morning. "'Help, help,' from both sides, man and woman," Davis' neighbor, Greg Sarian, told KABC. "I was praying to God. 'God,' I said, 'Clean up this mess here, because this is evil place.' Evil place. All kind of people, by the way, coming, different people, coming, going couple of days, disappearing, coming, other people."

The official causes of death for Davis and Lewis, who was once romantically linked to Katy Perry, are not yet known.
