GOP presidential candidate, Donald Trump, is hosting Saturday Night Live this week and John Leguizamo is not happy about it.
Speaking to Yahoo! News Live, the actor said he would no longer be tuning into the Saturday night stalwart of American pop culture if producers did not go back on their decision to have Trump host.
“You’re celebrating someone who’s said some horrible things,’ the actor said. “I will not watch SNL anymore.”
The Columbian-born Leguizamo is no doubt referring to the multiple verbal attacks Trump has made on the Latin American community. “If he had said those things about any other ethnic group he would not be on SNL,” Leguizamo continued.
His words follow news of the growth of the #RacismIsntFunny trend on Twitter, which angry users hope will convince NBC to pull the plug on Trumps appearance. Protestors making similar demands will also march on the Rockefeller Center this Saturday.
