John Legend And Common Close The Grammys With “Glory”
John Legend and Common closed the Grammys Sunday night, performing their Oscar-nominated song “Glory” with a little help from Beyoncé.
Beyoncé Performs “Take My Hand, Precious Lord”
Legend and Common, both Grammy nominees, were the last performers of the night, shutting down the show with their original song written for the film Selma. Before Legend and Common took the stage, Beyoncé appeared backed by an all black male chorus to sing “Take My Hand, Precious Lord.”
John Legend And Common “Glory”
Beyoncé’s powerful gospel performance set the mood for Common and Legend’s powerful performance, and she introduced the pair shortly after concluding her performance, saying that the duo would “[Remind} us all once more of the glory of music.”
Legend and Common walked off stage to a standing ovation.
