After almost four years of marriage, Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson have filed for divorce.

Jackson was reportedly surprised by Turner-Smith’s decision to end their marriage. The actress cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

The couple reportedly had trouble juggling busy careers and a child.

Turner-Smith and Jackson were married in 2019 and share a three-year-old daughter whom Turner-Smith reportedly requested the couple share custody over.

Representatives for both actors denied requests for comments at this time.

In an interview with uInterview last year, Turner-Smith said praised her After Yang co-star Colin Farrell.

“It was really wonderful,” Turner-Smith said. “Colin is super kind, generous, just wonderful to work with. It was such a gentle environment that Kogonada created – just a beautiful, familial, kind, warm, open environment. He truly is a wonderful leader on set. I feel so lucky that my second leading man was Colin Ferrell. I didn’t think that anybody could top Daniel Kaluuya. Colin is almost tied. Daniel is still in a league of his own. Colin was just a beautiful person to work with.”
