Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald, of 19 Kids and Counting fame, have welcomed their first child together – a baby boy.
Seewald’s sister Jessica Seewald was the one to break the news of the birth on Instagram, posting an image of “I’m an auntie!” scrawled in blue on a Post-it note.
Duggar and Seewald confirmed that their firstborn son was born Thursday night to People magazine. The baby boy, whose name has not yet been released, weighed in at 9 lbs., 15 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long at birth.
From the Duggar Family Official Facebook page, Duggar’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar expressed their joy at welcoming another grandchild.
“So excited!!!!! Ben and Jessa have had their sweet new baby!” the Duggar parents wrote. “A beautiful baby BOY!!!!! More details soon. Mom and baby are both doing great! Thanks for all your prayer! Congrats Ben and Jessa, we love you!”
Seewald and Duggar announced their pregnancy back in April, just as she was entering her second trimester. “We’re expecting!” Jessa told People at the time. “We are so excited. The due date is November first, our wedding anniversary.”
“We are looking forward to being parents,” Seewald added.
Duggar and Seewald tied the knot Nov. 1, 2014 after a short engagement that followed months of courting.
