Jeremy Renner Revisits Hospital Where Doctors Saved His Life After Near-Fatal Snow Plow Accident

One year after Jeremy Renner suffered a near-fatal snow plow accident, the actor took to Instagram to share his visit with the staff of the Reno, Nevada, hospital that saved his life.

“Rollin through Reno, NV with joy, blessings, and pizza!” the actor captioned the post. “Stopped by to see kids/superheroes, first responders, and doctors, nurses and staff at Renown hospital. Paying my respects and celebrating love, life and the blessings it brings to us all. Thank you and this community for keeping me here… I’m forever in your debt with gratitude.”

Renner also took to his Instagram Stories while meeting with doctors, nurses and first responders.

Last year, Renner suffered multiple fractures and went through several medical procedures after a snowplow accidentally rolled on him.

Renner also announced a musical diary project that documented his healing journey. The project was created in collaboration with his daughter, Ava Berlin Renner.

In 2017, Renner sat down with uInterview for an exclusive interview about his film, Wind River.

Written and directed by Taylor Sheridan, the neo-Western thriller sees Renner as Cory Lambert, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracker who teams up with an FBI agent (Olsen) to solve the murder of a young woman who was sexually assaulted on an Indian reservation in Wyoming.

Renner praised Olsen for several reasons. “She’s such a trooper,” he said. “She did a lot of gun training and all of these wonderful things, so I was really impressed with how much dedication and time she spent to make the character really believable. She crossed all our t’s and dotted all our i’s. She was on point.”

He also added that, given that the film mainly revolves around his character and Olsen’s, that the setting was more “intimate” than it was when they collaborated on Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“I was really attracted to the writing, and the landscape, but also just dealing with loss, unflappability and strength,” Renner added about making the film.
