For a second, it appeared that there were major casting changes to Aquaman. Though Jason Momoa and Julie Andrews were still in the movie, Momoa’s kids, Lola & Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, weren’t.

Momoa’s kids then confronted director James Wan. Momoa said,  “My daughter rolled up like, ‘You cut us out of the movie?’”

““No, no, no, no, no you’re back in the movie!” Wan replied.

And while the actor let his kids shoot a cameo, he’s not all too keen on them becoming actors. “They were really excited to be in it,” he said. “I was like, ‘Don’t be so excited to be in a movie…you’re not allowed to act.’” But he still enjoyed having them on the set. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “”I simply love you more than I love life itself” listening to Elton with the loves of my life. Raising sensitive savages Priceless day on set proud to be aqua papa. OHANA.”

Momoa also plans on taking his kids to the premiere. “We’re going to watch it together,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “They haven’t seen it yet, but I’m going to watch it at the premiere with them.”

Aquaman hits theaters on December 21.
