Jared Kushner Says Saudi Arabia Is ‘Safer’ For Jews Than U.S. College Campuses

On Sunday, Jared Kushner, son-in-law and ex-adviser of former President Donald Trump, claimed that Saudi Arabia is “safer” for American Jews than college campuses are these days, in response to protests over the Israel-Hamas war across the nation.

On Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Kushner said, “One of the ironies is that, as an American Jew, you’re safer in Saudi Arabia right now than you are on a college campus like Columbia University.”

Kushner said that he recently returned from Saudi Arabia, where he sensed “very big disgust” with the attacks perpetrated by Hamas.

Earlier this month, hundreds of students at Columbia University in New York organized rallies, where supporters on both sides gathered to protest the war.

In response to the situation, Columbia University temporarily closed its campus as a precautionary safety measure.

Several college administrations have faced criticism for their responses to the Israel-Hamas conflict, as students from both sides are dissatisfied that the schools did not adequately condemn the violence.

Harvard University drew scrutiny when a student organization released a statement that held Israel responsible for the October 7 attack by Hamas. Both students and former administrators alike voiced their concerns and criticized the university for not adequately addressing the contentious letter.

This week In Washington, D.C., Students for Justice in Palestine, a student organization at George Washington University (GW), projected messages onto the school’s library before the police intervened and shut down the operation. The messages offered a range of criticisms toward Israel as well as condemnation of the university and its president, Ellen Granberg.

The Hamas October 7 attack was the deadliest attack on Israel in history.

In response, Israel initiated its most extensive airstrikes on Gaza to date. As of Sunday, the number of casualties in Israel has reached over 1,400 deaths, and more than 8,000 Palestinians in Gaza have died.

Jared and his wife, Ivanka Trump, have been busy building a $34 million Miami mansion that some have dubbed “Mar-a-Lago 2.”
