Actress Jamie King‘s son was hit with glass after a man reportedly jumped on and smashed the windshield of the car he was in.

According to a news release by the Beverly Hills police, 4-year-old James Knight and King’s friend were in a parked car in Beverly Hills, California, when Paul Francis Floyd, 47, jumped on the vehicle. “James was secured in the back seat of the vehicle as the suspect jumped on the rear windshield causing glass to shatter and strike the child,” the release read.

Witnesses told TMZ they saw a man on a skateboard approach the vehicle then crawl on the hood of the car and begin banging on the windshield.

King’s friend attempted to protect James and confront Floyd. “In an effort to protect the child, the female driver exited the vehicle and confronted the suspect at which time he threw a can at her, striking her arm,” the release said.

King was not in the car when the incident happened and reportedly seemed “shaken” afterwards. She has not addressed the incident on social media.

When police arrived, Floyd was arrested for felony child endangerment, misdemeanor battery and two counts of felony vandalism. Reports say similar calls were received by the police about vehicle vandalism. Floyd allegedly kicked another car and caused damage. He is being held on $100,000 bail. His court date is April 6.
