James Corden, host of The Late Late Show, is set to host the Tony Awards this Sunday. With the new task at hand, Corden brought the production of his nightly hosting gig to New York City’s Broadway.
For this addition of the popular segment ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ Corden accompanied Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Guests Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane Krakowski also came along for the ride.
The drive started with a duet from Miranda’s hit Hamilton. When McDonald, Ferguson and Krakowski arrived the group used their Broadway pipes to belt out classics from from “Rent,” “Jersey Boys” and finally “Les Miserables.”
The 11-minute video is filled with laughs and a genuine appreciation for the art of theater.
