Jack Harlow Mocked On Social Media For ‘Worst Halftime Show In History’ During Lions-Packers Game
Rapper Jack Harlow is facing backlash on social media from fans who labeled his halftime show during the Thanksgiving Detroit Lions versus Green Bay Packers NFL game as one of the worst in football history.
The Lions had been down 23-6 when the end of the second quarter came around, the rapper then sang a short compilation of his own songs such as “First Class” and “What’s Poppin.”
On Thanksgiving Day, the X user @Jaypotta posted: “That Jack Harlow halftime show may have been the worst halftime show in the history of Thanksgiving day halftime shows.”
Another snarked: “Total budget for Jack Harlow halftime show = $49.99.”
Chris Long, a former football defensive end, said: “I told my kid if he wants to buy his music he’s gotta get a job.”
After his performance was done, Harlow wrote on Instagram stories: “On some real s— the main thing that pushed me to say yes to this Thanksgiving halftime show aside from the opportunity itself is how much family I have in Detroit and all the times I spent growing up visiting the city.
“I kid you not my great-great-grandfather had a heart attack and passed away in the stands at the Lions Thanksgiving game in the 1960s and I’m not even bulls—in’ so you know I had to bring it home for bro.”
Dolly Parton‘s halftime show performance at the Dallas Cowboys vs/ Washington Commanders game and Steve Aoki‘s concert during the halfway point of the San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks game received praise – though Parton’s cheerleader outfit raised some eyebrows.
